Webshops & e-Commerce

After working together for a number of years, and on the back of the various successes of the Delivery Bags, Uber Eats approached Kinara to outsource the entire equipment provision to Courier partners and develop an end-to-end solution. They wanted their Couriers to have access to a variety of equipment and an easy way of ordering these products to be delivered to their homes.

With Uber Eats focusing on their core technology offering, equipment provision was not a core aspect of their business. Long lead times from China resulted in the tie up of large amounts of capital and customer service enquiries from Couriers required admin staff and time.

Kinara went on to develop a whole catalogue of items, including branded clothing & PPE. Uber Eats needed a quick and easy way of ordering these products and having them delivered where required without worrying about having thousands of stock items being tied up in warehouses or managing the logistics.

This is where the relationship with Kinara proved its value. Using their webshop expertise, the team quickly designed an e-commerce site that allowed the online purchase of any desired items only when required, in quantities large or small. More items could also be created due to the entire operation being completely outsourced to and managed by Kinara, allowing Uber Eats to concentrate on what they do best – delivering food to their customers.

Thanks to the website being specifically designed and built by Kinara International, Uber Eats UK is the first market in which delivery partners can purchase any equipment and branded items they desire quickly and easily from the online store. This collaboration has provided Uber Eats with the confidence to entrust Kinara with the entire operation of design, manufacture, and transportation of goods in a timely and reliable manner without worrying about the logistics, hassle, and complications of dealing with foreign suppliers.
